| There
are hundred reasons to visit Hyderabad and the number
grows every day. Hyderabad is a rapidly progressing
city which is known internationally not only for its
historic treasures but its lading position in the IT
world. In fact Hyderabad is now known as Cyberabad!
It has a twin city Secunderabad and there is little
to distinguish the two cities today.
Hyderabad conjures romantic images of the opulent days
of its ancient rulers. This 400 year old city is a history
lover’s delight. This legendary city still has
remnants of art and culture of the Qutb Shahi and Asaf
Jahi dynasties. The royal grandeur, exotic cuisine and
mannerisms are still very much in the fibre of the city
and its people. Yet in many way ways it is at par with
the most technically advanced cities of the world.
This city of contrasts has a host of tourist attractions
and a Hyderabad vacation can never
leave you with time hanging on your hands. You can visit
heritage monuments, lakes, parks and incomparable museums.
Delicious food of various styles and delightful shopping
at its exquisite markets for pearls, textiles and glass
bangles will make any Hyderabad vacation
seem too short! Let New Age Tours plan your trip for
you so you can get the most of the time at your disposal.
The Charminar, the most recognized landmark of the
city was built by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah, the founder
of Hyderabad in 1591. At that time it marked the centre
of the city. Another famous attraction is the Golconda
Fort which gets its name from the Telugu words “Golla
Konda” meaning “Shepherd’s Hill”.
The origins of the fort can be traced back to the Yadava
dynasty of Deogiri. It has been rebuilt many times and
its history is told today in a fascinating sound and
light show there.
The Salar Jung Museum is one of the biggest one-man
collections of antiques of the world. It belonged to
the Nizam of Hyderabad, Salar Jung III. The collection
includes Persian carpets, Moghal miniatures and daggers,
Chinese porcelain, jade collection and Japanese lacquer
and other fabulous items.
Hussain Sagar Lake, Film City Birla mandir and Osmania
University are other tourist attractions that New Age
can recommend to you.
